I don’t know about you, but I feel like I’ve been in go-go-go mode more than usual. Does it seem like that to you too? Maybe it’s because I’m getting ready to launch my passion project, The Multi-Passionate Moms Club and it’s bigger than most things I’ve done previously. Or maybe it’s because I am working more hours at my job at the Port of LA/LB to catch up for missed time earlier this year. Or maybe it’s both, on top of the fact that 3 out of 4 of our kids are in sports right now and every weekend is consumed with games. So “normally”, it doesn’t feel this busy. Although, let’s be honest, life is always busy when you are a multi-passionate mom.

People often wonder how I handle it all: my business, my job, raising 4 kids aged 12 and under, volunteering, and honoring my relationship while prioritizing self-care. And I’m guessing they are wondering how they can better handle all the things they have going on too. So in case you are wondering the same thing, I’d like to share a couple of things that are critical to effectively managing it all and thriving.

1. First, get clear on what’s important to you (your values). This is the foundation of all the work we do in coaching. Why? Because life does not work when you are out of alignment with your values. In order to be in alignment, you need to know what your values are. So here is where you start. What matters to you most in life? What do you hold near and dear to your heart? What would you take a stand for? What must be present in order for you to feel complete, good, happy, on purpose, etc?

By answering these and similar type questions, you can begin to get a picture of what matters to you most. When you are clear on what is most important then you know what to say yes to and no to. It becomes easier to know what to spend your time on. When you are intentional with your time, you feel more balanced, more on purpose, more alive and more productive and satisfied.

Once you are clear on your values and are using them to guide your choices, then you can set priorities and delegate you time accordingly. Everyone has the same amount of time in a day, it’s how you spend it that matters. Why some people seem to get so much done, while others waste away their days, is a matter of having clarity, intention and follow-through. Yes, the follow-through is also key in accomplishing your most important goals. Having a bunch of ideas in your head only creates overwhelm and sometimes can cause a mental shut-down. And that is never good when you are a woman on a mission. Write down your ideas and set small sized goals and prioritize them so you know exactly what you need to focus on and when.

2. Second, get support. If you really want to know the key to my success, this has got to be the greatest factor. I am fortunate to have a really strong support system. Some of which I was born with and some of which I’ve created. If I didn’t have the right people and systems in place, I would not be able to do all that I do. There’s no way a multi-passionate mom can do everything by herself. And quite honestly, we are not meant to. Yes, it takes a village and having the village is so satisfying. I’ve tried doing it on my own and it just doesn’t work.

Here are some of the things I have help and support with:
