The past couple weeks I’ve been having the same conversation over and over. I am going to share because it may resonate with where you are.
You may have guessed it has to do with money, based on my subject line. But it’s really not about money. It’s about something much deeper and more profound than that.
It’s about your SELF-WORTH. It’s about your FREEDOM.
Your ability to generate money is the ultimate empowerment.
Now, you may already be feeling some resistance to this. And that is ok. We all have money stories.
Like when I grew up I got the message that money is the root of all evil. That people who have money are greedy. That there are the have’s and have not’s and if you have a lot of money you are taking from those who have little or none.
When I first became an entrepreneur I was ashamed to admit that I was one because I thought certain family members would criticize me for it. I ran my “business” as a hobby and undercharged for my coaching services for many years.
What I came to realize was that money is not evil but rather a vehicle to achieve goals, honor values and do good in the world.
The reality is we live in an economic system that uses currency to value things. Higher priced things, have a higher perceived value. We humans assign value to money. Without that, it is just paper.
My point is that money represents an energetic exchange. When we value something high enough, we are willing to pay for it. When we say we can’t afford something, it means we don’t value it enough to buy it.
Even if you don’t have the money right now for something you really want, if it is important enough to you, you will set the intention, goal and plan to get the money. Am I correct?
It’s disempowering to say, “I can’t afford that”. Instead why not say, “It’s not a priority”? Doesn’t that feel better?
When you DO value money and you see your worth in relation to it, it’s a GAME CHANGER!
My grandma always told me and my girl cousins, “never have to depend on a man”. She was a single mom raising 4 children with a full time teaching job. I took her words to heart.
As a woman, it’s important to feel a sense of security. To know we can provide for ourselves and our children no matter if we are in a relationship or not. No matter how much our husband makes, nothing is promised. And as much as we don’t like to think about death or divorce, anything can happen. So it’s best to be prepared.
Not only that, our self-concept is based in part on our ability to contribute. So many women I speak to want to be able to take some of the financial burden off of their husband. We want to make a meaningful contribution not only with our talents but also with our finances.
In order to do this we need to see ourselves as income generators. We need to know that our ability to have money does not come from a job or a person. It does not come from outside of us. Our ability to generate income comes from within.
It is mindset.
It is our container.
It is our strategies.
If you want to know what I mean by this, make sure to grab my free Multi-Passiolante Moms Guide to Creating a 6 Figure Lifestyle.
Even if you don’t aspire to earn 6 Figures, the freedom you can achieve from setting up your life in a way that honors your deepest values and priorities, while making a meaningful difference, IS the 6 Figure Lifestyle.
I teach my clients and Inner Circle Members of the Multi-Passionate Moms Club that the key to true freedom and financial empowerment is having multiple streams of income.
You want to look at not only the now which includes cash flow to pay for day to day needs, but also the long term which includes savings and investments.
I choose to invest in real estate. I also have a job that gives me the freedom and flexibility to create my own schedule so that I can have my coaching business which is my passion and purpose and what I love to do! I have those 3 streams of income and I have designed my life to support my lifestyle choices of time freedom (to spend with my family), travel, investing in myself (self-care, personal growth), healthy living (gym, organic foods) and peace of mind that I don’t need to worry about money.
This is what I want for you too. If you are not where you want to be with financial empowerment and you are ready to make some changes, get in touch with me and let’s discuss what that could look like for you, ok?
I don’t ever want a woman to feel less than because she isn’t financially independent, or feel insecure because she doesn’t know if she can provide for herself and her children, or feel scared and in scarcity mode because she keeps telling stories that don’t serve her and are disempowering.
We deserve all the freedom and riches our hearts desire. We will make the greatest difference helping others when we become financially empowered women.
Please reply and let me know what you would do if you had more cash and knew that you could generate income whenever you wanted, ok?
